Creation Science: The Biblical Record and the Evidence
Creation, the global flood, fossils, geology and biblical archaeology examined through the eyewitness record of Scripture.
Creation, the global flood, fossils, geology and biblical archaeology examined through the eyewitness record of Scripture. The Bible does not present creation and the global flood as symbols. It records real acts of God in real history: creation in six ordinary days, one original human family, a worldwide judgment by water, and the preservation of life through Noah’s Ark. Scientific observations do not interpret themselves. The controlling question is which facts and evidence are you going to believe? Creation science begins with the testimony of the Creator. Genesis gives the historical framework; later Scripture repeatedly confirms it. Moses, the prophets, Jesus Christ and the apostles treated creation, Adam, Noah and the Flood as literal history. Genesis 1:5, 8, 13, 19, 23, 31; Exodus 20:11; 31:17. Each creation day is numbered and bounded by evening and morning. God connected the human workweek directly to His own six-day creation and seventh-day rest. Genesis 1:11-12, 21, 24-25. God created living things to reproduce “after his kind.” Variation and adaptation occur within created biological groupings; one kind does not become another. Genesis 1:26-27; 2:7, 21-24; Matthew 19:4-6; Romans 5:12-19; 1 Corinthians 15:45. Humanity began with one man and one woman specially created in God’s image. The doctrines of sin and redemption rest on the historical first Adam and the last Adam, Jesus Christ. Genesis 6-9; Isaiah 54:9; Matthew 24:37-39; Hebrews 11:7; 1 Peter 3:20; 2 Peter 3:5-6. All high hills under heaven were covered, all land-dwelling air-breathing life outside the Ark died, and the world that then was perished. “For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is.” Exodus 20:11, KJV Creation is not peripheral doctrine. John 1:1-3, Colossians 1:16-17 and Hebrews 1:2-3 identify Jesus Christ as the Creator and Sustainer of all things. Mark 10:6 places humanity at “the beginning of the creation,” not billions of years after the beginning. Colossians 2:3 declares that all treasures of wisdom and knowledge are found in Christ. The creation model predicts design, biological limits, abrupt appearance, integrated complexity and a universe governed by dependable laws. These are observations, not appeals to ignorance. Biology DNA stores coded instructions using a symbolic language, cellular machinery reads those instructions, and coordinated systems copy, repair and regulate them. Mutations alter existing genetic material; they do not explain the origin of the language, machinery and integrated information system itself. Biology Vision, blood clotting, energy production, reproduction and molecular transport require multiple coordinated parts. The parts operate as systems and depend on one another from the beginning. Fossils Major body plans appear abruptly in the fossil record. Organisms remain recognizably within their basic forms through the layers. The record contains abundant variation and extinction, but no continuous chain establishing macro-evolution. The evidence simple. IT IS NOT THERE. Physics The universe operates through stable mathematical laws and highly specific physical constants. Matter and energy do not explain the origin of the laws governing them. Order, intelligibility and life-permitting precision are consistent with a rational Creator. Genetics All living people belong to one interfertile human family. Human genetic similarity, shared ancestry and the shallow differences among populations agree with the biblical history of descent from Adam and Eve and the later dispersion from Babel. Dating Age calculations depend on starting conditions, system history and decay rate assumptions. Radiometric measurements are real; but converting them into ages requires a model. And the model doesn’t work. So they invented an ISOCHRON. A “fudge-factor” created for each test, to eventually get the result their flawed science expected. The Flood was a year-long global catastrophe involving the breaking up of “all the fountains of the great deep,” prolonged rainfall, rising waters, continental-scale sedimentation, tectonic upheaval, erosion and the restructuring of the earth’s surface (Genesis 7:11-24; 8:1-14; Psalm 104:6-9). The standard geologic column is a composite assembled by scientists, never observing more than a few layers at any one geographic location. They correlate rock layers and fossils from many locations. What? There is not one uninterrupted vertical stack of layers anywhere, containing every named period at a single site. Local layer pockets exist, but how were they made? We creationists are right. Even with the availablility of radiometeric dating, rocks are almost always assigned relative ages by the fossils in them; and fossils are almost always assigned ages by the rocks in which they occur. Why? Because radiometric dating is so seriously flawed, they had to create a complex fudge factor – a fix – to generate predicted/desired dates. Go to the Smithsonian in D.C. You will see the fossil record on one wall, and the “geologic column” on the opposite wall. Each describes how dates are referenced. Fossils by the layer they are in. And layers by the fossils that are in them. No baseline. An elemetary school kid can tell you that’s not science. OK, so if the earth is 4.5 billion years old, what do you think you’d find? Massive erosion, or massive sedimentation? Erosion, right? Guess what? 75% of the earth is covered with sedimentary layers. My educated guess, it took about 4,000 years to erode the 25% of that. Just use logic! The flood happend. Evolution did not. Genesis does not say the Ark landed on the single volcanic peak now called Mount Ararat. It says: “And the ark rested in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, upon the mountains of Ararat.” Genesis 8:4, KJV “Ararat” identifies a mountainous region associated with the ancient kingdom of Urartu. The biblical wording permits investigation throughout that region rather than restricting the search to one modern summit. Approximately 18-19 miles south of Mount Ararat lies the Durupınar boat-shaped formation. Ron Wyatt brought worldwide attention to the site and identified it as the remains or impression of Noah’s Ark. The formation’s reported length is close to 300 Egyptian royal cubits, and the location lies within the broader mountains-of-Ararat region. The Exodus is presented throughout Scripture as national history and as one of God’s greatest public acts of judgment and deliverance (Exodus 1-20; Joshua 2:10; Psalm 78; 105; 106; Acts 7:17-38; Hebrews 11:23-29). Wyatt placed the crossing at Nuweiba on the Gulf of Aqaba and Mount Sinai at Jebel al-Lawz/Jabal Maqla in northwestern Saudi Arabia, the ancient region of Midian. The proposed route draws attention to: “Then the LORD rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the LORD out of heaven; And he overthrew those cities, and all the plain.” Genesis 19:24-25, KJV The southern Dead Sea region contains Early Bronze Age cities destroyed by intense fire. Bab edh-Dhra and Numeira are leading candidates for cities of the plain. Excavations document destruction layers, burned structures and the sudden abandonment of settlements. Sulfur balls encased in mineral material are also found in the Dead Sea region and have been specifically documented near the traditional area. “The wall fell down flat, so that the people went up into the city, every man straight before him, and they took the city.” Joshua 6:20, KJV Excavations at Jericho revealed a fortified city destroyed by fire. The mud-brick upper walls collapsed outward and accumulated at the base of the stone retaining wall, forming a ramp by which attackers could go “up into the city.” A substantial section of wall on the north side remained standing, consistent with Rahab’s house being preserved. Archaeologists also found large quantities of stored grain in the destruction level, agreeing with a short spring siege and Israel’s command not to take the city’s goods (Joshua 2:15; 3:15; 6:17-24). Jericho: Does the Evidence Prove the Bible?Concise comparison of Joshua’s record with the excavated evidence. Begin with Scripture. Then examine the strongest positive case, the original reports and the best critical response. Do not reject evidence because it supports the Bible, and do not accept a claim merely because a Christian makes it. “Prove all things; hold fast that which is good” (1 Thessalonians 5:21, KJV). The biblical and scientific questions are not separate. If God created the world, judged it through a global Flood and acted publicly in the Exodus, the physical world will bear the marks of those events. It does. Living systems display information and design. The fossil record documents sudden burial, extinction and stasis. Continents carry vast water-deposited layers and marine fossils. Human cultures remember a great Flood. The geography of the Exodus continues to reward direct comparison with the biblical text. The evidence must be interpreted honestly, and individual archaeological claims must be tested rigorously. But the foundation does not move: “For the word of the LORD is right; and all his works are done in truth.” Psalm 33:4, KJVCreation Science: The Biblical Record and the Evidence

Layered sedimentary rock
Accumulated over immense ages through ordinary processes, interrupted by catastrophes.
Much of the fossil-bearing record formed rapidly during the Flood and its catastrophic aftermath.
Ordered fossil succession
Assumes biological evolution through time. No transitional fossils to prove it. Trillions of fossils, effectively, zero legit trsansitionals.
Records ecological zonation, mobility, burial sequence, hydrodynamic sorting by weight and differential survival during catastrophe. The actual fossil record bears this out.
Missing layers and unconformities
Say that it represents long intervals of non-deposition or erosion.
Represents rapid, sudden transformations within catastrophic events without requiring millions of years. In fact, VERY short timelines. Note: Where is the water erosion on the sidewalls of the Grand Canyon? Besides, rivers can’t flow uphill. How was the canyon made?
